Description
The mission was supposed to go on without hiccups. After some misunderstandings between Zuzana and the Road Vikings, she was forced to tag along on one of their grand theft auto shenanigans as punishment for not delivering the kebab war surplus weapons that Zuzana had promised. Fearing that the Vikings might try to pull something funny, Zuzana begged Miša to tag along, which, after some howling and wailing, got her convinced.
A big, heavy-duty truck had stood abandoned for two days outside of Hults Motel, which, being on Road Vikings territory, got Hilda decided it now belongs to her. The gang gathered around the truck, with Lulu picking the door open with a chewed plastic spoon, and Hilda climbing inside to violently tear through the dashboard plastics and electrical cables. Miša and Zuzana stood afar, looking out for any trouble.
Miša walked towards the truck to check if the break-in was any closer to completion when she suddenly noticed a big hulking shadow walking toward her. It was a big rugged dog, and not the patient, kind, old-looking type.
"Vad i hela helvete tror ni snorvalpar att ni håller på med?!" the dog roared while smacking the gun Miša was holding out of her paws.
The dog turned around, pulled out a small handgun from his pocket, and opened fire towards the air filter where Lulu had climbed up. This was followed by Zuzana emptying her magazine in a spray of stray bullets flying all over the parking lot, and two buckshots fired from Lulu's shotgun.
The dog turned back towards Miša. Even though blood was spewing out of his gut, he seemed determined to stomp a small fennec to pulp before keeling over. Miša crawled towards her pistol and managed to grab it just when she was in the big dog's reach. The dog grabbed her leg and dragged her towards the truck. As the rest were either in shock or busy nervously reloading, Miša aimed for the dog's head and shot straight through the eye, sending him collapsing towards the truck, hitting his head against the bull bar.
Miša stood up, shaking like never before with her legs feeling weak. She grabbed the bull bar to avoid falling down on her knees.
"Haha! Did you see that, Lulu?! Your lucky tail just got saved by that half-sized whore! Man, you are one lucky bastard dog, I tell ya that! That dumbass using hollow points is the reason you are still with us! I knew keeping you alive back when we found you dying in the cold was a good idea! You are like a lucky talisman! Didn't even have to use my gun!" Hilda proclaimed from the cabin with an evil chuckle.
"I... I killed him..." Miša stuttered.
"Wow! That you did, gurl! Great work! I'm glad you tagged along on this one! Who knows what that big bastard could have done to us if it wasn't for you!" Zuzana proclaimed in joy.
"No, Zuzko, you don't understand... I have never killed anyone, ever, before..." Miša stuttered.
"Oh wait, you haven't? That's weird! We live in a dog-eat-dog world. The strong prey on the weak usually. I'm surprised you've made it this far without it! Well, I tell you what friendo, it gets easier with time, trust me. When I was in the army, I had to put some dogs to rest as well. By the time I got dismissed, it was as easy as sweeping floors with a broom!" Zuzana replied.
Sasha crawled up on the hood of the truck, looking down at Miša with a concerned look in her eyes. Miša's imagined response was interrupted by the sound of a heavy diesel engine coming to life, spewing dark heavy smoke blinding everyone standing around it.
"Are you two bitches done crying or what?! The truck is ours, that's what matters! Fuck that bastard! If he didn't want us to steal his shit, he shouldn't have parked it on our turf! Move aside! Both of you! Once I sell this hunk of junk, I'll will pay you two for tagging along. Until then, fuck off!" Hilda yelled out of the window.
Miša and Zuzana were left standing in the cold, enveloped by a huge cloud of diesel smoke. As the smoke settled, and the truck left driving towards the horizon, Zuzana said quietly, "Well, I guess that's done. At least that fat cunt won't be bothering us for a while. Not sure if we will ever get to see that share of money she promised, though."
"To be honest, Zuzko, I don't really care... Just glad both of us made it through this one alive..." Miša replied while looking at the dead dog laying on the ground, slowly turning the white snow around him blood-red.
