He grew up there and studied engineering until the age of 21. His father sent Moon Shadow to retrieve him and he learned he was heir to both a large estate in Scotland and the world's largest weapons manufacturing company H.Y.D.R.A. He is the weapons supplier for the secret Iron Empire terrorist group and third in their chain of command.
