Description
A spiral is a writer's sketchbook. The lines steady your hand as ideas fly. Pages can be torn and refitted as quickly as the tale unfolds and refolds. Binders are collections, composition books for finished thoughts, and computer screens too structured for living tales. There is no rush, no limit; every page waits for the author's pen with infinite patience born of the tree that the paper. A spiral is a writer's sketchbook because it is uniquely alive.Related content

I love this, and I think it's so true. It reminded me of this quotation:
“A notebook takes on a friendly character, the patina of its daily use, its doodles and coffee stains. It becomes an indispensable artifact of the trip, glowing with revelation.”
-Paul Theroux
