Thank you for making this. It reminds me of my own coffee stained notebook! I can't resist using it as I find it very inspiring. :3 Just looking at it makes me want to write and draw.

I was enjoying my vacations, and when I come back... wow! A DD!!! Such a nice surprise...

Thanks!
The coffee cup was taken from a free stock database and so was the base for the paper background. So there is a chance you'll see this cup somewhere else
But the combination you see in the journal was obtained after a little of photomanipulation I did myself

The layout is nice, but the typography could definitely use some work. Nice work otherwise.

If the =Starke-Haz doesn't mind others making changes once the CSS is installed, you could change the font style and size by making changes in the CSS code.

Again, you feature something totally unoriginal and cliche. Well-executed, yes, but you are blind to originality.

Wow. Don't hold back. Tell me how you really feel! This was suggested to me and I ran it by `namenotrequired , one of my "go-to" deviants for verification on any deviantART-related DD. He gave it a ~ I've seen a lot of CSSes and this one is different than an awful lot of them.
Again, suggest what you DO perceive would be a good DD.

I'm so glad this got a Daily Deviation feature. I used it for a long time and it still remains my favorite journal CSS. Wonderful work! Congrats.

Normally no. Generally Journal skins are only available to premium members however in celebration of dA's 11th birthday ALL deviants can use any Jourunal skin ^^

would be interesting if the text fits in the paper's lines perfectly.

Starke-Haz In reply to Tsitra360 [2011-09-02 20:01:07 +0000 UTC]
Yes, this is a nice suggestion and I did consider it already.
But the problem is that different browsers render the fonts differently and when I get the right line space for one, it is messed up for the other...
In the end, I just gave up xD
But thanks for your feedback! Maybe one day I may come up with a solution for this (or I'll keep dreaming about the day browsers will behave the same, as they should in theory!)

Tsitra360 In reply to Starke-Haz [2011-09-02 20:06:53 +0000 UTC]
Can you do a CSS reset style sheets with journals? That's one way to get all browsers behaving the same.
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Starke-Haz In reply to Tsitra360 [2011-09-02 20:20:51 +0000 UTC]
Not sure... CSS for journals has lots of restrictions from DA. For example, last time I checked we couldn't use CSS 2 or 3, which is very annoying...
But I can try that and see if it gives me an error or not! Thx for the idea
I'm a bit busy for the moment, but as soon as I have some free time, I'll give it a try

Tsitra360 In reply to Starke-Haz [2011-09-02 20:43:32 +0000 UTC]
Your welcome, and take your time. Oh, and I think for DA beta testers they are allowing CSS3 in journals, I'm not sure if that's true or not.

I've seen this CSS "live" on several sites and the scroll bars move the text but the background remains the same. It can hold a lot of text while not taking up a lot of room on a profile page

I've tried making text italic in author's notes in some of my deviations, like just a line or two, but when i put the tags it just turns the whole text into italics ._.

PrincessKooh In reply to LittleMissMissyMe [2011-08-06 20:42:33 +0000 UTC]
You have to type < i > with out the spaces then < / i > with out the spaces writing text in between the two will create THIS

A very intersting and lovely designed skinn
however, I would either crop the lines until they match the line height of the text or stretch the line height to make it match the paper's lines. They way its now, its hard to read.
