I made this a long couple back. My newest villager was Spocket and I was surprised to see that he was a robot villager. And apparently there are more. I kept thinking about his eyes and if there were cameras looking at me through them. Then I got thinking on who is behind those cameras if so. That line of thinking got me places.

I was doing nook miles, as you would, and I thought, "How do they know what I'm doing and when I'm finished?" Sprocket's camera eyes came to thought and that's when I thought if cameras set on the island. And with a little more imagination inspired a bit by Neytirix's idea, I came up with the whole island business story behind it.

Tom Nook's business took it upon himself to place the last existing humans on islands with volunteers to join with them. It was the volunteers job to keep the human sane by interacting with them. The humans were placed as the spokesperson and in charge of everything including landscape and building to keep their minds busy. It was soon that Nook Miles were created as extra tasks that could be done and even rewarded for it such as human nature is. The humans were never told about the problems outside their sweet isolated islands and are kept that way for the humans' own safety.
