Oh to be picking dandelions and violets for a sweet soft teaWarmed by the sun
The wet snow falls outside
And though I am dry indoors
Inside, I am cold and dying
My soul longs to leap for joy
To dance in the growth of spirit
Yet now is the season of decay
To release everything
Even the deep reaching roots
Of my generational wounds
Allow this freeze to be so deep
So thorough
That death comes
Full and complete
That the spring thaw
Pushes up an ancient seed
To swell with moisture
And once again
See the light
