this is my closed species of demons that exist in my version of the underworld. there is a complex ranking system for these little guys, so if your'e interested, bear with me!

the ranking system goes from Imp, half rank, full grown, and ancient demons, with the demons of the seven deadly sins (they represent these sins) are just below Satan and his sister death in class. just below the sins are the princes, followed by reapers and incubi/succubi, then pitworkers and citizens.
demons gain attributes like wings and larger tails and horns by "killing" other demons. because demons don't truly die, a "kill shot" like decapitation, bisection, or a hefty stab wound or blow will revert them to their imp form, causing them to have to start over in their rank. killing humans gives them more power, and they grow weak when they haven't fed in a while.
the order in which they receive their attributes varies by demon (some might get wings first while others get them last)
it is not uncommon for demons to have relationships with one another, forming truces and having romantic partners and friendships is what keeps them strong for some.

it is common for demons to wear nothing, or very little, but many enjoy piercing their ears and wearing jewelry, especially rings and bracelets (sometimes even necklaces) on their horns.
demons can only scar if it's the mark that killed them (ex: scar around the throat from getting it ripped out)

fighting types-

Wrath- a particularly vicious and extremely fast breed of demon. they excel in speed killing and tend to attack in groups. a large weakness they posses, however, is that,when injured, they go "blind with rage". in this state they attack more furiously, but can see almost nothing.
their speed is extremely dangerous to greed and pride demons, who tend to be larger, but slower.

Pride- pride demons are typically not the smartest, and tend to rely on brute strength to kill other demons. because of their thick headedness they typically fight alone, but can be very dangerous in a group of two or more.

Lust- although not the best fighters, lust demons tend to be very smart and highly manipulative. they have a very strong "power of suggestion" that will make the weak minded bend to their will. this makes them deadly to pride demons, who are the most easily manipulated.

Greed- greed demons are most typically dragon like, and have the most size variation of any demon. they most often kill alone, and tend to take a while in doing so, tiring the other demon out before delivering a killing blow.

Envy- envy demons, similar to lust demons, are cunning in how they kill, but i a different way. they are most known for being scavengers, finding a group of demons fighting and sneaking in to kill the unwary, sometimes even making split second truces with one to share the reward.

(( shadow demons are arguably the most complicated. they must be born of at least one other shadow reaper. they are what makes up "limbo" which exists inside their ghostly bodies. they consume the soul of a creature and grow larger by this. they are able to de-solidify and move around their mass. if part of them is cut off (that is not the head) they will fill the hole with mass from somewhere else and grow smaller. the escaped souls will then go to the underworld and become demons. ))
