Messing with memories always messes everything up. Honestly I do look up to you because I never really dared to touch memory manipulation for fics that are longer than a oneshot because man, I would get tangled up. They fascinate me to no end, but so frustrating

I thought memory manipulation would be easier? If there are any discrepencies between memories, I can just be like "oops, looks like they misremembered! Someone messed with the B R A I N S." Maybe I've been looking at it wrong and should be more worried about plotholes though...

Sure that's a handy thing, but my overly obsessive self would probably try to sort it out at least for myself, to at least some things would add up.
Until I would eventually end up with the handwave of "oh well MESSING WITH MEMORIES" but not after a whole lot of stress first

That is true. I did initially have angst about that, but then I realised that memories from past loops are not nearly as important as first loops as well as some... others...
