Whoa, what’s this!?

I’ve been working on this for a few months now, and finally the Mane 6 (and Spike) are finished! An updated version of utilizing my Headcanon Markings , or at least, starting off with that idea. With some of them, my designs eventually diverged.

The first pass of this you saw here;

Here, you can see that my unicorns now take some inspiration from G5, with magical swirls on their horns rather than basic lines. Her swirls were made specifically slightly diamond patterned and geometric, essentially like her Cutie Mark.

Rarity has somewhat of a model’s physique, with large flanks and skinny legs, though not as extreme as the sketch above, I tried to give every character their own unique body shape without going as overboard as I did with some of the concepts, wanting to keep it fairly grounded.
As well, you can see that I combined the original Unique Style haircut with canon’s, something I wanted to do with all of these.
One thing I noticed was that in the original Unique Style drawing, I tried to do my own unique take on each character’s hair as well, but in later drawings, I would replicate the hair of the canon exactly, and honestly, I feel like that was a shame.

For Rarity’s coat, I kept the same concepts as the headcanon markings, because I thought it was frankly perfect as is, no changes needed. She has dapples everywhere, a blaze down the top of her head and dusty socks. Colors from Flawless Rarity , an evil Rarity from the IDW comics.

I decided to keep the element of the Unique Style that was most, well, unique to mine the same. I didn’t see anyone do it before I did, though it was itself inspired from how drew the tips of her ears as sharing the eye color, I did the same with my eye colors and the hooves.
