Netherlands -----> Belgium, at the carnivalA very long time ago this was requested by ~orrie-g
And back then volume 4 wasn't out yet, and now I find this brother-sister pair completely adorable - but yeah back then all I knew was that they were on bad terms at some point in their shared history.
I was trying to go for Barry Lyndon -style lighting but ah, I have a long way to go before I can cg well.

The way of how you painted this is so gorgeous, so detailed and done with so much patience - just by looking you know you put a lot of work in it. The scenery is beautiful too: their clothes and masks and even the background, how busy and full of details and beauty they are; and you realize by the look that passes between them that that all doesn't matter. They could be anywhere, and what they say is not even that important, but the bond and the relation that is between them is so VISSIBLE in their expression and their eyes that you can almost touch it.
A really strong, rich and beautiful piece of art. Bravo
