Remn plays both the Protagonist and Grovyle's Roles.

Remn is a very lonely Shinx born in the Dark Future, which explains his unusual strength, survivability and escape rate. Since he was born, survival was his only goal, an instinct that remained strong ever since, but why? Every day was the same, survive to fight another day, over and over, until you eventually fall… This made Remn develop a sharp sense of fight or flight, to be reserved of his emotions to the point it didn’t seem like he had feelings, he had a very serious attitude, all these traits made him able to overcome the daily hardships, but deep down, Remn wanted something else, something that he was sure it would never come, but all he had, was hope.

Upon reaching adulthood Celebi finds him, she introduces herself and lets Remn know she means no harm, that she has been hoping to find a strong soul to set her plan in motion, to save the world by going to the past and stopping the world from falling into darkness. Remn is unsure and firstly considers his own life, what was he waiting for? Did he have a clear vision of his life? No, he didn’t… He just wanted to survive to see what happens, but maybe today was the day where everything could change, the only worse thing than this was death. It didn’t take much for Celebi to convince him into her plan to save the world, however, she tells him that by doing this mission, Remn would perish from existence.

- “So I will die if I accept this…”

“Yes… This is for a better future, for generations to come… This world and everyone will thrive, but I will not be able to save you, for I will be gone too, I’m sorry…”

- “... It’s fine… I got nothing to lose”

“But, your life-”

- “You call this ‘life’?”

“... I understand, what’s your name?”

- “... Hmm…”

“You… Don’t have a name?”

- “No, I don’t.”

“I see. Well, how does ‘Remn’ sound to you? Short for Remnant, because I have never found someone like you, ever. It’s almost like you’re the last of your kind.”

- “That works. Remn it is, then.”

“Thank you Remn, I really mean it. This world you’re going into, I’ve seen it! It will gently welcome you, its skies will invigorate you, the lands will bless your eyes, you will see why it’s worth saving.”

- “Anything is better than whatever this is. I’ll take on the mission.”

“Very well, I will send you back whenever you’re ready…”

- “... Alright…”

Remn must go to the past, take the time gears and put them back into Temporal Tower to stop the world from falling into darkness.
Upon arriving the past, Remn was able to steal some of the time gears that weren't guarded, but upon reaching Uxie, Remn finds himself having to escape from them, and so he goes, Uxie sees Remn and chases him down, sending attacks and anything to stop him, unfortunately Remn finds himself cornered on the edge of a cliff, and Uxie getting closer, they charge up a powerful beam and Remn can only cover himself with the time gears, Uxie then blasts him off the cliff, Remn takes the full hit alongside the time gear, that shakes his integrity in the present, erasing most his memories and abilities, rendering his few remaining memories as illusions, Remn is gone off far into the sea and the time gears are dropped on the ground, with no way to trace him back, Uxie takes back the time gears and protects them, but they need someone else to send them back to their respective places.

A couple of days later, Remn is unconscious on the shore of Treasure Town's Beach, that is when Luna, this joyful and hopeful Skitty girl found him. They introduce each other, Remn has little to no memories left, for Luna that meant she could help him and get a new friend to go on adventures with, and so they would become very good friends, willing to help the other in any times of need, she convinces Remn to join the team Luna's friend made: Team Fat Cat. Remn, having forgotten his mission and with no memories left, he has nothing better to do, so he joins Luna to partake in all these adventures. Luna thinks his way of being (reserved but easily impressed) is adorable. Remn only has faint memories of the Dark Future, but he thinks they were just nightmares.

Despite his memory loss, Remn still had some of his nature left on him, he is slightly reserved on his emotions, taking the smallest of matters too seriously and overall avoiding showing expressions that much. However, with Luna he tends to be a little more free, in private moments when the two of them are alone, a time where a new, unknown side of him can shine bright.

Weeks pass, for Remn it felt like months, maybe even a year, so did Luna. The experiences and adventures he and Luna were living together made him feel a close connection with her already, Remn had this lonely feel despite his amnesia, feeling that he was alone his whole life, he finally had someone next to him, needless to say he also made some good friends in the Team, like Biscuit and Kwoz, but Luna was... Unique... Always cheerful, she always believed in him, she made him smile so many times, the energy she irradiated was making Remn happy, forgetting about his little remaining issues, her face was everything he ever needed to see every morning, he was… Really happy to have her around, he has the intense desire to protect her no matter what. Luna thought the same for him too, Remn gave her the confidence to tackle any hardships, and this spirit to always keep going, to always keep fighting no matter what, to never surrender no matter the odds, almost as if it was always his nature... Something that even a memory wipe could not take away, maybe it was something in his soul...

“These people… They’re great! I really like being around them. I lost my memories though, how lucky from me then, to have arrived in such a joyful place with wonderful people, in fact I don’t know if my memories matter that much anymore, but I guess it’s only right to get to the bottom of this, but as long as I have Luna doing fine next to me, nothing else matters.”

Not long after, another being from the future comes into the present: Dusknoir, he is tasked to stop Remn from succeeding on his mission, and after searching far and wide, he finds Remn, but this Shinx doesn’t seem to fit the description he was given, therefore he can’t risk taking back the wrong target, maybe sticking around for long enough would give enough clues? He decides to check on the Time Gears' positions first, knowing very well that’s where Remn would go. Remn and Luna work on their expedition stuff. Dusknoir would constantly pass by to observe the Shinx’s behavior before confirming it’s him.

Once all the time gears were secured in their respective places, and Dusknoir discovers that the Shinx he spotted was indeed Remn, Dusknoir claims one of his goons was the thief this whole time, shortly after he opens a portal no one but him knew where it lead, and before leaving, he grabs Luna and Remn, the grasp is very tight, Remn and Luna try to pull themselves back but it's no use, they're dragged into the portal with Dusknoir and his goons. Destination: The Dark Future.

They end as prisoners but escape with Remn's pocket items and stubbornness.

Remn’s nightmares were real, he was slowly regaining his memory the longer he stayed in the Dark World, making him not sit right as Luna was scared and desperate to go back home, there was no time for Remn to dread over this, he had to find a way to go back to the present and fast. Remn’s memories coming back were giving him the answer, Celebi! But why does he remember her? It doesn’t matter, she might have an answer…

Remn and Luna sneak their way into the Deep Dusk Forest, they find Celebi and she warmly welcomes Remn back. For a brief moment they put each other up to date, meaning that Remn has a moment to share his experiences and how joyful he was, making him aware of his painful past, happy of his joyous present and excited for his future. In secret to Luna, Celebi once again tells Remn about his purpose, and what will happen once the mission is completed.

He is shocked, afraid and worried, unlike before, Remn now had things to look after, things to live for, people to care about, he felt loved and he was loving back, he did not want to lose this, he didn’t want to be alone again, he didn’t know where he would go, but Remn ultimately realizes that's the best for everyone, if he wants Luna and everyone to live free from the pain he had to endure, so be it. He accepts it once again, fully aware of the situation.

“Is it worth living a good life knowing that everything around me is slowly crumbling into darkness as I go? Or should I… Give myself up so they can live in peace? I don’t want to go! They mean everything to me. But I don’t want them to live what I went through, Biscuit, Luna… They all deserve to live a good life, but apparently, I do not… So be it. They will live well, with or without me, I will tear through everything until I know the future will be safe.”

Sooner than later, after some intervention by Dusknoir, his goons and Dialga, Celebi successfully takes Luna and Remn back to the present, her whereabouts are unknown, but it can be assured that she didn’t get caught so easily.

Back at Treasure Town, Luna explains the situation and the new objective to save the world, Remn still stays shut about the whole thing, traveling to the future and remembering his past and purpose made him get even closer to Luna, but his emotions became a little drier, ever so slightly less expressive, Luna notices this and begs to know what happened to him, Remn refuses to talk about it, regardless, they still have some moments of peace and joy in the middle of the situation, sleeping at the guild, the calm nights, the extra adventures, Remn is still happy, but weary of the situation, this has lead him to have numerous nightmares he had to keep to himself, he was not having a good time, but seeing Luna’s face every time he woke up, it was worth it…

Upon the realization, Remn would spend more time with his friends in general, Luna, Biscuit, Kwoz. Remn knew he would have to go sooner or later, so he wanted to use his valuable time equally with his loved ones, talking to them, tagging them into explorations, even just hanging around with nothing specific, even helping them with tasks or straight up escorts to special places, he did everything to make his time worthwhile.

Everything goes as planned. They get enough clues to find the Hidden Land and reach the Rainbow Stoneship.

Just before everything was taking a turn for the better, Dusknoir ambushes them, Remn gives Luna the time gears, for he has to fight Dusknoir and his goons, Dusknoir opens a portal back to the Dark Future. Luna, however, promised to help Remn in any time of need, and so they got ready to fight. Remn ruthlessly in burning determination lashes out at the goons and Dusknoir respectively with powerful lightning punches, kicks and energy strikes, Luna used her surprisingly sturdy forehead to Zen Headbutt her foes, her Feint and Quick Attacks to overcome any of their defenses, leaving them open for Remn to strike back, and repeat the Team Attacks, he would tank hit after hit without flinching, even taking hits aimed at Luna, while she would use her Heal Bell to help Remn recover from special attacks, taking care of each other in the edge of combat. They eventually defeat Dusknoir and his gang. Luna has never seen Remn this determined and steeled to defeat an enemy, but neither she knew she had this in her, she was feeling confident, strong and capable, all thanks to Remn!

Once everything is clear and good to go, Remn asks Luna to go and activate the Rainbow Stoneship while he watches over Dusknoir to make sure he doesn't get up. Luna accepts and rushes back to the stoneship, with Luna away from the scene, Dusknoir mumbles of what will happen to them both:

“Remn…! Do you even realize what will happen once the course of time is changed? You… I… We will cease to exist… Do you want that? I-I’m doing this for us! Y-you need to understand…”

- “I know that will happen.”

- “Then I ask, why are you doing this to yourself?!”

“I’m not doing this for me, I’m doing it for them. For her.”

- “Y-You’re a fool!”

“As long as she and everyone is fine, nothing else matters to me, neither you, or me.”

With that said, Remn kicks Dusknoir and his goons back into the portal, Luna didn’t hear a thing, and so she calls out for Remn, and he quickly rushes up to the Rainbow Bridge so they can go to the Temporal Tower.

Remn, more psyched up than ever before, goes alongside Luna up the tower to the very top with little to no problem, he was so determined he couldn’t even feel his wounds, neither they were slowing him down, but as result, Luna was deeply concerned about him, this was not the Remn she knew, as time passed, Remn was acting more like his old self, completely stoic, unfazed on the situations, focused in one thing only, but unlike before, he was not focused on his survival…

On the top, they come across Dialga on the verge of insanity, the tower nearly collapsing and time becoming a luxury they could not afford, Luna was holding the time gears, but she couldn’t go on and put them back in yet, they had to get through Dialga first, Remn and Luna knew this was the final stretch, and they would need each other for this battle, therefore they got in position and fought. The battle was intense, the Wrath of a God versus the Will of Two Souls, trading hits after hits, Dialga blasting attacks off as Remn dodges them, Luna attacking Dialga’s weak spots as he focuses on Remn, who would ultimately withstand physical attacks that would knock out flat anyone else, Luna going as far her determination and courage allowed her body to go, she would punch, kick and throw in a way she never thought herself capable of doing, Remn and Luna only grew stronger as their hearts kept speeding up to the tremors and time running out; they were not going to fail, they were going to save the world, Luna was going to make Remn proud, to show she has evolved from her fears, and Remn was going to give Luna and everyone the peace they deserve, the world they deserve, freed from his nightmares. This world, this people, they all were so kind to him, they gave him the life he always wished for… And this was his thanks…

+ “G… G-GRRROOOOOOOO-OOO!”

Dialga falls, beaten… But shortly after, Remn falls to his knees…

- “L-Luna… The time gears… G-go…!”

Remn falls too, exhausted but accomplished, he passes out. Luna rushes to put the time gears back in place and… She did it, the time gears are back in place! Just in time! The tremors stop, the tower is still standing, the world… Is freed from this dark fate!

Dialga gets back up not long after, personally thanking Luna… And Remn… Who has not woken up yet, he was very wounded and would need to be carried on the way back.
As Luna carries Remn in her arms, they’re going back to the Rainbow Stoneship, Remn slowly wakes up.

- “L… Luna…?”

“!! … R-Remn, you’re awake!!”

- “Did… Did we… What happened…?”

“You defeated Dialga, and I put the time gears back in place! We did it, Remn! The world is safe!!

- “… I’m… I’m so glad… Y-you’re gonna live a good life, Luna…”

“… What do you mean? It’s our life, silly! We’re staying together! Forever, remember?”

- “… A-about, that…”

Remn’s body begins to get covered by shiny yellow lights…

- “M-my time is up, Luna.”

“Wh-What?! … Rem-mn, what is this?!”

- “When we traveled to the future… I remembered who I was, why I came here, and what I had to do. I came here to change the future… And… We did…!”

“W-what about it?! R-remn you’re scaring me! Please!”

It’s at this point, where Remn leaves behind any stoicism, he forgets his past self, so he can be the true self he always wanted to be. Showing the brightest smile, even with his worst wounds yet, physically and mentally.

- “I have to go, Luna…”

Luna begins to tear up, her words stutter as her emotions take over “W-What?! W-WHY?! N-NO! I...! R-Remn please don’t play with me- th… This can’t be happening! I’m b-begging you, STOP! Just… Just when e-
everything was finally getting b-better! … N-no… Please…”

- “I come from the future... And that future is now changed, therefore I can’t… Be here, anymore.”

“R… Re-emn…!” Sob “W-why did you do that!? … Why!?”

- “It was the right thing to do. You, Biscuit, everyone… I wanted to make sure you all lived a good life, in a good world… To not go through what I went through, to save your future.”

Luna understands, but her emotions are crushing her “But Remn… Y-you won’t be there with us… With me… I-I… I NEED you, Remn… I… I want to be with you forever, I want to see the sunset with you, t-the beach! R-remember…? … Remn… I want to go places with you, I want… I… I don’t want to be alone again…”

- “You’ll never be alone ever again. You have everyone back in the guild… And I’ll always live in your heart. As long as you remember me, I’ll be there… With you, everywhere, forever.”

Luna has no words; she continues to cry.

- “Luna. I had to survive every day, in a dark world with nothing to look after, not even myself… Thanks to you, I got to live the life I always wished for, wonderful people I never imagined to ever exist, adventures in a colorful world, I got people to care about… I met… You. So many things… All that was worth fighting for, it was worth every last bit of me, it was worth… Giving myself for it…”

Luna keeps crying without solace, her heart is breaking, and her feelings have taken over her entirely. She then notices that Remn’s lights and body are getting brighter. “R-REMN! D-don’t go!! I… P-please!!”

- “Thanks for everything… Luna. I love you… And I always will, wherever I go…”

Luna, with tears all over her face, hugs and snuggles Remn’s face tightly. “I… I-I love you too, Remn… I’ll… I’ll never forget you… Thank you…" Sob "Thank you so much for everything Remn… I… I want to see you again… O-one day…”

Luna just now noticed that Remn too, was crying as much as she was, this was a Remn she never saw before, neither the Adventurous Remn with Amnesia nor the Emotions of Steel Stoic Remn… This was, the real Remn, the Remn that he was supposed to be since he was born, the Remn that he protected all these years in a coat of unbreakable emotions and a firm stance, the Joyous Remn with a Caring and Loving heart, seeking to share adventures with the people he loved. He was finally showing up before his time to go came, being his real self to the one person he cared the most his entire life…

And with that, Remn vanished from Luna’s arms… She is heartbroken, crying desperately, and alone… Luna eventually made her way back to Treasure Town, giving the good news and the bad news: The world is saved, the time gears have been put back into place. But Remn… Is gone…

Remn wakes up, he can’t feel his body, but he can see his surroundings, he is flying, high on the universe, stars and celestial bodies passing by him, all he has now are his thoughts:

“… It… It had to be done… I’m sorry Luna, I’m sorry Biscuit… Everyone, I will miss you all, so much… … I got to live the life I always wanted, I’m happy I did but, I’m… Sad… Really sad… I want to keep living this life… I fought so hard to survive and see the sunrise on this new world I was in. Why was I taken away so suddenly? Why did it have to turn out this way? Do I not deserve this life? I… I saved everyone, but I guess I don’t deserve it, for one reason or another… Who… Who gets to decide these things? Where am I even going now? Am I going to stay here forever? Floating in space? Is this what I deserve?! … Why… Why should I bother getting upset at these things now… At best I might be born in a new world, without memories… So, it’s only a matter of time before I- … Without memories… That means, I won’t remember… Luna… Biscuit… Celebi… Everyone and everything… … That’s why! … That’s why I’m so troubled! I don’t want to forget them, I don’t want to live a life without them, I… I DON’T want to go. It’s NOT fair! I-I never gave up when I had no reason to live, I never gave up when my friends and everything I loved were at risk… And I will NEVER give up my life with them! THEY need me, I need them… N-no matter who makes these rules, I REFUSE THIS DESTINY! I-I deserve to love, I deserve to be loved. I deserve… to live. That’s why I fought to survive every day, because deep down, I wanted to live to see the day where I would find somewhere I belong and… and I did… I found it…!”

Remn could feel the speed of his travel slow down significantly, the memories of his time with Luna, Biscuit, his friends and the world were surrounding his vision, making his soul feel a burning desire to go back, to challenge everything that comes, in order to return with those he loves…

“I want to stay… I refuse to live a life without them. They are… Everything, to me…”

“I will fight for this life… For a chance to see them again… Every day…”

These words… Resonated… Through space, time and dimensions… A spirit so broken, yet determined enough to challenge fate itself, and refusing to ever surrender for its true beliefs, its true pure desires… Maybe, just maybe, someone heard those words… Someone who could look into Remn’s hurting soul, and send it home, his true home…

And it seems...

His voice has been heard… His journey does not end here, Remn will return to Treasure Town, with Luna, with everyone. Who has heard his words and taken action remains unknown, but it seems like they too, want Remn to be rewarded for his efforts, to live the life he truly deserves, someone who perfectly understands the pain of sacrifice, and the courage it takes to do it...

He is shocked, afraid and worried, unlike before, Remn now had things to look after, things to live for, people to care about, he felt loved and he was loving back, he did not want to lose this, he didn’t want to be alone again, he didn’t know where he would go, but Remn ultimately realizes that's the best for everyone, if he wants Luna and everyone to live free from the pain he had to endure, so be it. He accepts it once again, fully aware of the situation.

“Is it worth living a good life knowing that everything around me is slowly crumbling into darkness as I go? Or should I… Give myself up so they can live in peace? I don’t want to go! They mean everything to me. But I don’t want them to live what I went through, Biscuit, Luna… They all deserve to live a good life, but apparently, I do not… So be it. They will live well, with or without me, I will tear through everything until I know the future will be safe.”

Sooner than later, after some intervention by Dusknoir, his goons and Dialga, Celebi successfully takes Luna and Remn back to the present, her whereabouts are unknown, but it can be assured that she didn’t get caught so easily.

Back at Treasure Town, Luna explains the situation and the new objective to save the world, Remn still stays shut about the whole thing, traveling to the future and remembering his past and purpose made him get even closer to Luna, but his emotions became a little drier, ever so slightly less expressive, Luna notices this and begs to know what happened to him, Remn refuses to talk about it, regardless, they still have some moments of peace and joy in the middle of the situation, sleeping at the guild, the calm nights, the extra adventures, Remn is still happy, but weary of the situation, this has lead him to have numerous nightmares he had to keep to himself, he was not having a good time, but seeing Luna’s face every time he woke up, it was worth it…

Upon the realization, Remn would spend more time with his friends in general, Luna, Biscuit, Kwoz. Remn knew he would have to go sooner or later, so he wanted to use his valuable time equally with his loved ones, talking to them, tagging them into explorations, even just hanging around with nothing specific, even helping them with tasks or straight up escorts to special places, he did everything to make his time worthwhile.

Everything goes as planned. They get enough clues to find the Hidden Land and reach the Rainbow Stoneship.

Just before everything was taking a turn for the better, Dusknoir ambushes them, Remn gives Luna the time gears, for he has to fight Dusknoir and his goons, Dusknoir opens a portal back to the Dark Future. Luna, however, promised to help Remn in any time of need, and so they got ready to fight. Remn ruthlessly in burning determination lashes out at the goons and Dusknoir respectively with powerful lightning punches, kicks and energy strikes, Luna used her surprisingly sturdy forehead to Zen Headbutt her foes, her Feint and Quick Attacks to overcome any of their defenses, leaving them open for Remn to strike back, and repeat the Team Attacks, he would tank hit after hit without flinching, even taking hits aimed at Luna, while she would use her Heal Bell to help Remn recover from special attacks, taking care of each other in the edge of combat. They eventually defeat Dusknoir and his gang. Luna has never seen Remn this determined and steeled to defeat an enemy, but neither she knew she had this in her, she was feeling confident, strong and capable, all thanks to Remn!

Once everything is clear and good to go, Remn asks Luna to go and activate the Rainbow Stoneship while he watches over Dusknoir to make sure he doesn't get up. Luna accepts and rushes back to the stoneship, with Luna away from the scene, Dusknoir mumbles of what will happen to them both:

“Remn…! Do you even realize what will happen once the course of time is changed? You… I… We will cease to exist… Do you want that? I-I’m doing this for us! Y-you need to understand…”

- “I know that will happen.”

- “Then I ask, why are you doing this to yourself?!”

“I’m not doing this for me, I’m doing it for them. For her.”

- “Y-You’re a fool!”

“As long as she and everyone is fine, nothing else matters to me, neither you, or me.”

With that said, Remn kicks Dusknoir and his goons back into the portal, Luna didn’t hear a thing, and so she calls out for Remn, and he quickly rushes up to the Rainbow Bridge so they can go to the Temporal Tower.

Remn, more psyched up than ever before, goes alongside Luna up the tower to the very top with little to no problem, he was so determined he couldn’t even feel his wounds, neither they were slowing him down, but as result, Luna was deeply concerned about him, this was not the Remn she knew, as time passed, Remn was acting more like his old self, completely stoic, unfazed on the situations, focused in one thing only, but unlike before, he was not focused on his survival…

On the top, they come across Dialga on the verge of insanity, the tower nearly collapsing and time becoming a luxury they could not afford, Luna was holding the time gears, but she couldn’t go on and put them back in yet, they had to get through Dialga first, Remn and Luna knew this was the final stretch, and they would need each other for this battle, therefore they got in position and fought. The battle was intense, the Wrath of a God versus the Will of Two Souls, trading hits after hits, Dialga blasting attacks off as Remn dodges them, Luna attacking Dialga’s weak spots as he focuses on Remn, who would ultimately withstand physical attacks that would knock out flat anyone else, Luna going as far her determination and courage allowed her body to go, she would punch, kick and throw in a way she never thought herself capable of doing, Remn and Luna only grew stronger as their hearts kept speeding up to the tremors and time running out; they were not going to fail, they were going to save the world, Luna was going to make Remn proud, to show she has evolved from her fears, and Remn was going to give Luna and everyone the peace they deserve, the world they deserve, freed from his nightmares. This world, this people, they all were so kind to him, they gave him the life he always wished for… And this was his thanks…

+ “G… G-GRRROOOOOOOO-OOO!”

Dialga falls, beaten… But shortly after, Remn falls to his knees…

- “L-Luna… The time gears… G-go…!”

Remn falls too, exhausted but accomplished, he passes out. Luna rushes to put the time gears back in place and… She did it, the time gears are back in place! Just in time! The tremors stop, the tower is still standing, the world… Is freed from this dark fate!

Dialga gets back up not long after, personally thanking Luna… And Remn… Who has not woken up yet, he was very wounded and would need to be carried on the way back.
As Luna carries Remn in her arms, they’re going back to the Rainbow Stoneship, Remn slowly wakes up.

- “L… Luna…?”

“!! … R-Remn, you’re awake!!”

- “Did… Did we… What happened…?”

“You defeated Dialga, and I put the time gears back in place! We did it, Remn! The world is safe!!

- “… I’m… I’m so glad… Y-you’re gonna live a good life, Luna…”

“… What do you mean? It’s our life, silly! We’re staying together! Forever, remember?”

- “… A-about, that…”

Remn’s body begins to get covered by shiny yellow lights…

- “M-my time is up, Luna.”

“Wh-What?! … Rem-mn, what is this?!”

- “When we traveled to the future… I remembered who I was, why I came here, and what I had to do. I came here to change the future… And… We did…!”

“W-what about it?! R-remn you’re scaring me! Please!”

It’s at this point, where Remn leaves behind any stoicism, he forgets his past self, so he can be the true self he always wanted to be. Showing the brightest smile, even with his worst wounds yet, physically and mentally.

- “I have to go, Luna…”

Luna begins to tear up, her words stutter as her emotions take over “W-What?! W-WHY?! N-NO! I...! R-Remn please don’t play with me- th… This can’t be happening! I’m b-begging you, STOP! Just… Just when e-
everything was finally getting b-better! … N-no… Please…”

- “I come from the future... And that future is now changed, therefore I can’t… Be here, anymore.”

“R… Re-emn…!” Sob “W-why did you do that!? … Why!?”

- “It was the right thing to do. You, Biscuit, everyone… I wanted to make sure you all lived a good life, in a good world… To not go through what I went through, to save your future.”

Luna understands, but her emotions are crushing her “But Remn… Y-you won’t be there with us… With me… I-I… I NEED you, Remn… I… I want to be with you forever, I want to see the sunset with you, t-the beach! R-remember…? … Remn… I want to go places with you, I want… I… I don’t want to be alone again…”

- “You’ll never be alone ever again. You have everyone back in the guild… And I’ll always live in your heart. As long as you remember me, I’ll be there… With you, everywhere, forever.”

Luna has no words; she continues to cry.

- “Luna. I had to survive every day, in a dark world with nothing to look after, not even myself… Thanks to you, I got to live the life I always wished for, wonderful people I never imagined to ever exist, adventures in a colorful world, I got people to care about… I met… You. So many things… All that was worth fighting for, it was worth every last bit of me, it was worth… Giving myself for it…”

Luna keeps crying without solace, her heart is breaking, and her feelings have taken over her entirely. She then notices that Remn’s lights and body are getting brighter. “R-REMN! D-don’t go!! I… P-please!!”

- “Thanks for everything… Luna. I love you… And I always will, wherever I go…”

Luna, with tears all over her face, hugs and snuggles Remn’s face tightly. “I… I-I love you too, Remn… I’ll… I’ll never forget you… Thank you…" Sob "Thank you so much for everything Remn… I… I want to see you again… O-one day…”

Luna just now noticed that Remn too, was crying as much as she was, this was a Remn she never saw before, neither the Adventurous Remn with Amnesia nor the Emotions of Steel Stoic Remn… This was, the real Remn, the Remn that he was supposed to be since he was born, the Remn that he protected all these years in a coat of unbreakable emotions and a firm stance, the Joyous Remn with a Caring and Loving heart, seeking to share adventures with the people he loved. He was finally showing up before his time to go came, being his real self to the one person he cared the most his entire life…

And with that, Remn vanished from Luna’s arms… She is heartbroken, crying desperately, and alone… Luna eventually made her way back to Treasure Town, giving the good news and the bad news: The world is saved, the time gears have been put back into place. But Remn… Is gone…

Remn wakes up, he can’t feel his body, but he can see his surroundings, he is flying, high on the universe, stars and celestial bodies passing by him, all he has now are his thoughts:

“… It… It had to be done… I’m sorry Luna, I’m sorry Biscuit… Everyone, I will miss you all, so much… … I got to live the life I always wanted, I’m happy I did but, I’m… Sad… Really sad… I want to keep living this life… I fought so hard to survive and see the sunrise on this new world I was in. Why was I taken away so suddenly? Why did it have to turn out this way? Do I not deserve this life? I… I saved everyone, but I guess I don’t deserve it, for one reason or another… Who… Who gets to decide these things? Where am I even going now? Am I going to stay here forever? Floating in space? Is this what I deserve?! … Why… Why should I bother getting upset at these things now… At best I might be born in a new world, without memories… So, it’s only a matter of time before I- … Without memories… That means, I won’t remember… Luna… Biscuit… Celebi… Everyone and everything… … That’s why! … That’s why I’m so troubled! I don’t want to forget them, I don’t want to live a life without them, I… I DON’T want to go. It’s NOT fair! I-I never gave up when I had no reason to live, I never gave up when my friends and everything I loved were at risk… And I will NEVER give up my life with them! THEY need me, I need them… N-no matter who makes these rules, I REFUSE THIS DESTINY! I-I deserve to love, I deserve to be loved. I deserve… to live. That’s why I fought to survive every day, because deep down, I wanted to live to see the day where I would find somewhere I belong and… and I did… I found it…!”

Remn could feel the speed of his travel slow down significantly, the memories of his time with Luna, Biscuit, his friends and the world were surrounding his vision, making his soul feel a burning desire to go back, to challenge everything that comes, in order to return with those he loves…

“I want to stay… I refuse to live a life without them. They are… Everything, to me…”

“I will fight for this life… For a chance to see them again… Every day…”

These words… Resonated… Through space, time and dimensions… A spirit so broken, yet determined enough to challenge fate itself, and refusing to ever surrender for its true beliefs, its true pure desires… Maybe, just maybe, someone heard those words… Someone who could look into Remn’s hurting soul, and send it home, his true home…

And it seems...

His voice has been heard… His journey does not end here, Remn will return to Treasure Town, with Luna, with everyone. Who has heard his words and taken action remains unknown, but it seems like they too, want Remn to be rewarded for his efforts, to live the life he truly deserves, someone who perfectly understands the pain of sacrifice, and the courage it takes to do it...
