This for my Typography 1 class at The Art Institute of California - Los Angeles. (Instructor: Jack Keely)

The assignment was we had to do was "cropped characters". We had to do 4 different compositions using 2 characters through cropping, rotation, placement and positive/negative space. We couldn't change the size of the characters.

This is what I did, I picked a sans-serif "Q" and a serif "X" of different weight.

Done in Rapidograph & Copic marker on Marker paper.
