HAPPY DAYS EVERYONE here is the first shot by Brett Stanley Photography of sailor lovebirds Haruka and Michiru! I'm so excited to share these photos with you guys, Brett is an amazing artist and I'm so stoked with the images. Fairie Tails and I jumped in the pool for our first underwater shoot in mid December, I made the costumes for us on a pretty tight deadline so we'd have suits to wear that wouldn't be water damaged - they're all matte lycra, fully lined, with batting for the shoulder and hip rolls. The skirts and hip roll are caught into the suit so it's a single garment - this was a huge pain, but I figured this would be easier to deal with underwater; they're literally just dance leotards/fancy togs.

The tiaras, brooches, sword and mirror are worbla from Worbla New Zealand Ltd , I skipped the usual PVA primer so they'd hold up underwater. I used black worbla for a smoother finish, and it worked out great! I did use polyfilla on the sword to get it looking a bit less rushed (I ended up with this shoot and one other deadline very close together) but under a few layers of paint and clearcoat there's no sign of any water damage.
