My med boi's submission for the half moon meeting for Clans-of-the-Bayou It's a little late but I thought I'd post it anyways lol

Blaze felt the familiar chill course through him as his nose made contact with the moon totem and as he opened his eyes the realm of his ancestors appeared before him. He looked out into the starry meadow patiently for a few moments before a familiar silver-blue shecat came into view. He felt a sudden burst of affection at the sight of his former mentor Blue Bird that Flies in Clouds.
"Hey Blue." He mewed happily as he stepped up before her, "Long time no see." She returned his greeting with an affectionate smile and they began to speak happily with one another about how life was going in the tribe and about any visions Blaze may or may not have seen. Blue had always thought it strange how the peculiar tom always spoke with her in this place as if nothing had changed but she only loved him all the more for it.

There was no moon to symbolize the passage of time in the brilliant, starry sky above them but Blaze was made aware of how much time had passed as the vision slowly began to fade around him. He felt a twinge of sadness as he knew he would have to go now but simply smiled, "Until next time." He said simply but his smile faltered as he saw the solemn look on his old mentors face. As the she-cat had all but disappeared before his eyes he heard her voice ring loudly n his ears. "Smoke will bring strength to the clans and a bird will build her nest. Three will bring three and claws will strike fear in their hearts."
