The redesigned from the original:

In the redesign, the end points of the staff are equal width with the ruler (base), but only the center part remains thick (for transformation). The pointy joints have been applied paintjob in order to look show accurate as well.

Materials used: Styrofoam cardboard, thin but resilient cardboard, acrylic paint (neutral gray and gold, base color remained as it is), black marker and hot glue
