Description
We've returned to the Davenport Railway to see some early spring action, and by pure luck, we get to see some action at the town that gave the railway it's name; Davenport. On this spring morning, the morning passenger trains are being prepared, with two already waiting for departure while another one is being prepared for the trip up into the valley. On platform one on the far right, LNER B1 #61085 is waiting for the signal to leave first for the local bound for Acrine, stopping at all the stations along the line. To follow afterwards, on platform 2, is LMS Ivatt Class 4 #43083, with the first passenger excursion for the day, carrying loads of visitors who want to experience the sights and sounds of a steam engine first hand. Platform 3 meanwhile has the railway's GNR N2 #1726 shunting coaches for its own passenger run bound for Langley, expecting to double head with another tank engine LMS Jinty #47285 for this special run. Three trains, all in one place, make this a perfect setting like it was back in the days of steam, except there's normally not this many trains leaving Davenport like this. It's just a pure coincidence that these trains were scheduled to leave at separate times that day, but it still gives us a bit of action!
