Description
Sometimes seeing a doubleheader is exciting to see, especially if it involves two steam locomotives that are nearly identical or different from one another. But what about seeing a tripleheader? Well there are times on the Evergreen Glades Railroad that you get to see 2 steam engines, 3 steam engines and even 4 steam engines on one train. Here's a very good example. One evening in 1989, EGRR #89, #90 and #475 have teamed up on a freight consist heading for Copper Junction, but this was originally suppose to be handled by only the 475. The story behind that is 89 and 90 were on a light move from Woodland Valley to Tundra Lake to handle some freight work there, but 475 was coming by with a freight consist and met up with the two engines just outside of town. Not wanting to clog up the branch line with a light move, the crew of the 475 came up with the idea of having the 2-6-0 and the 2-10-0 be up front of their engine and then they'll head off on their own once reaching the junction. The idea was approved and the three engines headed off together on the same train. Railfans were definitely in for a treat once they saw the tripleheader since this would be the first time the 3 engines worked together on one train.Game used: Trainz: A New Era.
