I think this photo works well because of the emotion it portrays. With her backed turned to us it almost feels as though we are spying on her. She look sad, but because of the tight crop it is difficult to tell what else is going on, so we do not know why...?

Guys 'n gals, let me tell you a little more about the pic. This is the strangest thing an artist experiences every once in a while. When I was working on the piece β and be assured, there was a *lot* of work needed to get to this point β I was everything but satified with the result. I doubted the work so much, that at the beginning I was unsure whether to upload it at all. There is something in the pic, something I cannot quite put my finger on, that kept my occupied though. So I thought: aww, heck!
I uploaded it first in the fotocommunity ([link] (german), [link] (international)) and was surprised by the omount of positve comments. Then I did the same here and again the sheer amount of comments was a surprise for me.
I've been thinking a lot about why that is so. There are some more pics from the same shooting in my galery, which, I find at least equally good, probably better tahn this one. What *is* the difference to the other ones now? Any suggestions aside from the obvious?
