Nik was heartbroken. He had been together with a woman named Nel for several months. But it just wasn't working out anymore. Now we need to keep in mind that Nik is not someone that stays down when he's beaten. Oh no!

Nik is already back out and about, strong as he is. He is enjoying the weather, greeting bystanders, feeding the birds, living the best life he can under the circumstances. It's a good da-

Oh... that's the shop where Nel works. Nik quickly turns around before he gets spotted, but it's too late.
'And just what are you doing here?' Nel asks Nik.
'I swear this is a coincidence.' Nik affirms.
Nel sighs: 'It's over Nik, we're done. Got it?'
Nik nods shyly.

As he watches Nel walk away, he mutters softly under his breath 'You keep stepping on my feelings, I wonder how you'd feel if you were stepped on.'

Nel meanwhile says to herself: 'Nik is always overstepping his boundaries, I wonder what he'd do if someone stepped on him.'

Unfortunately for them, a very cynical being was watching them from a different dimension. A being that loved to warp the desires and wishes of people in this world. Having overheard the expressions made by Nel and Nik, he decided to intervene.

Nik was on his way home when he suddenly froze, turned around and walked back to the store. 'What the hell? I can't control my body!' Nik thought to himself.
His body entered the story and made it's way over to the shoe section, where Nel was also standing. She has a very expressionless face, more than usual.

Nel too was freaking out. After walking back into the store, her body walked itself over to the shoe section, where it stood still and seemed to be waiting for something.

As Nik stood next to Nel, the changes began. They both shrank down quickly. Their arms fused to their torso's, while their bodies formed a sort of triangle shape. Their faces lost their features, as their skin became smooth plastic coated fabric. Then it got a reddish hue. They slowly started to resemble a pair of red high heels.

Shortly after the transformation was complete, a store employee stumbled upon the pair. 'Stupid customers. Put back the stuff you try on.' She grabbed the pair. 'Strange, there are no tags on them. Let me fix that.'
After adding the pair of heels to the store inventory, the employee returned the heels to their pedestal.

Nik and Nel, still semi-aware of what was happening could only wait until they were bought. Ironically, they were now closer in relation than ever before.
