Description
After building some obviously military 25/28mm scale vehicles from scratch I decided to move on to something that could equally well be a civilian vehicle usable in sci-fi RPGs and wargames.
Again I started with a sketch of what I was looking for and then made basic card prototypes of the cores for both 4 and 6 wheeled versions before committing to making them out of plasticard. The cores were then detailed according to their role and painted.
Painted examples in right hand column:
Top row - Three different basic civilian types. 4 and 6 wheeled plus an 8 wheeled flat bed transport.
Second row - A scientific research version with a built in laboratory trailer and a turreted internal security version for paramilitary forces.
Third row - An improvised fighting vehicle for use by mercenaries (or RPG PC groups) who do not have access to true military vehicles.
Bottom row - Two militarised versions for use as support vehicles. A 4 wheeled version with a machine gun and also a 6 wheeled version with a turret.
I have put instructions for making these (going as far as the basic core), along with templates on my website.

Thanks. I wanted to give the impression of a vehicle designed for use in a variety of environments, such as newly colonised planets without large infrastructure, where function takes priority over form.
