I agree that Spidey is rendered better than Wolverine, but keep in mind that this all takes practice. You're not going to be amazing overnight. Hell, I wish it was that easy.
Something I would recommend for both pieces is adding some more darks to help with the three-dimensionality.

thanks man, and I see what you mean about adding more darks because they look kind of flat at the moment, now I just have to think of a character to draw which is like the hardest part for me sometimes, lol.

You could always color someone else's work. That's helped me out tremendously. And there's tons of great art here.
