After creating the world, God formed man from the dust of the earth, giving him life by breathing into his nostrils. Man took shape and became a living soul. He was placed in the Garden of Eden, filled with not only beautiful but also good trees, including the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

God gave man the only instruction to cultivate and keep the garden, permitting him to eat from all the trees except the forbidden tree. Disobedience would lead to death.

Observing that man was alone, God decided to create a suitable helper for him. God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, took one of his ribs, and with it created a woman. When man saw her, he exclaimed, 'This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh. She shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.'
Therefore, man and woman became one
