Like a lot of teenagers, Kaliopi went through a sort of 'rebellious' phase. She was at the very edge of using off-the-rack human clothing - and as she passed the 8ft tall and more than 300lbs point - was being constantly excluded from group sports, riding carnival rides, or comfortably using elevators or traveling in most cars. But there was a mall within walking distance that allowed her to hang out with her dwindling peer group and circle of friends. The goth and alt scenes were exploding in popularity at the time and the 'small shirt/big pants' fashion trends gave Kaliopi a little boost in terms of clothing choice. She also looked good with her longer hair and darker make-up! Combined with her own exploding bustiness, she quickly morphed into a proto-big titty goth gf. Her blossoming maturity and sexuality raced right along with her peers and Kaliopi quickly realized her attraction to both men and women as well as what sort of humans tended to feel attraction in return.

While her relationship with her parents was a bit strained, Kaliopi found a deep kinship with her grandmother. 'Nanna' had been something of a wildchild in her youth back during the 60s, so seeing her granddaughter go through a similar growth during a social upheaval era was a strong bonding force. While an overall good influence on Kaliopi, Nanna was nonetheless an enabler on some of her less than great personality traits. Nanna taught Kaliopi the wisdom and wherewithal of the adage 'do no harm, but take no shit'. She also taught Kaliopi that indulgence is fine, if she is also willing and able to handle the consequences of her actions. To think forward and give forgiveness, but never forget slights. Also that authority rarely deserves the respect it constantly demands and sometimes it's more right to defy than comply.
