Description
When Liliana blows a kiss, it can crack the earth's crust, spewing out molten planet as though Mother-Gaia herself were nothing more than a giant, white-hot whipped-cream filled balloon. However, it is an ultimately sexy wake of annihilation; you'd die happy.
Here we see the lovely Mistress of Death showing off her sleek new dress of hideous, screaming doom. Woven entirely from the shredded hopes of the unfortunate souls who've crossed her. (Which, as it turns out, makes a comfortable, breathable material which accentuates both shapeliness, and pure smoldering evil.)
As is not uncommon for me, I have two versions of this card. One that's a little simpler, clearer, and so will work better when shrunk down to card size. And another, that is dripping with detail and extras, that would pretty much look like super grainy multi-color sand at card size. So I give you both the official version, and the blingtastic version.

The right face, the right atmosphere this is the Liliana we want. On a more critique basis the nose is slightly too big on the end or too round. But it's good know what I'm sayin.

Love the art of this card! Fell in love with it on first sight when I'd seen it at the card store and wanted to buy it immediately. When I asked the man how much she was he said $124.00! Can't afford that much, sorry awesome job!

Hello M. Argyle! We were chatting with friends and wanted to know: which one of the Lilianas ('official' one or 'bling-bling' one) is the original? Which is the first you made?
Love your paintings, etc.

I really like this version of her - but you're probably right that the details would be too small for the cards. When seeing such awesome illustrations I sometimes wish that M:tG cards were bigger ... but on the other hand, oversized cards would be impractical.

Is it so wrong that after seeing this piece, I have a crush on Lilliana?
Where's Jace to mind-wipe when I need him?

I promised myself that I wouldn't fave this until I was able to pull one from a pack, because otherwise I was going to be taunting myself.
Finally pulled one today, love the art for it, and I wish that the myriad of extras would've been able to not be "super grainy multi-color sand at card size," because this is amazing work.

My favorite art of all MTG. Liliana is my favourite character, and you made her charismatic and sexy and moreover her eyes are very vivid. Thanks a lot for this artwork!
PS:In 13 years of Magic, I never seen an artist as good as you are.

I definitely would've preferred to see this version printed on the card than the cleaner one. This is awesome.

I hate to be the one to point this out, but I saw this piece on the news tonight. Apparently, one of the purveyors of those dangerous 'bath salts' drugs really likes your art, because this piece has found its way onto the cover of a brand called Lady Blanc. You can google it. I feel bad giving it any more publicity here, but I thought you should know about the (assumed) misuse of your work.
