An artwork I wanted to do for a while now just waited for some free time to actually do it.

Charcoal and pastel on sandpaper. Size: 50cm x 70cm.

Background: I've been listening to Bowie for 40 years. There was something I found quite prefound about his lyrics especially in his earlier years. At the tender age of 18 while attending design college I bought the album 'Sound and Vision' on tape (yes, tape) along with the sheet music. The goal was to teach myself to read music. I'd have to say it wasn't easy but it gave me an insight into how much of a technician Bowie was in his process of song making.
