ATLAS is responsible for developing a number of weapons commissions from GAUSS, including combat variants of Armored Colossi for Live Operations, abbreviated to ACLOs, for short.

ACLOs were developed as far back as the territory wars over a millennia ago, albeit by different corporations and for different threats. Now, they're utilized as a means of giving maintenance and civilian staff a fighting chance against enemies like the Cachi, insectoids that are more than capable of taking down ships with their energy alone.

With ACLO VII using the latest technology in humanity's arsenal, it can maneuver and change direction at speeds of up to mach 12 for short periods of time. This requires a huge amount of spiritual energy though, and precision reflexes from its pilot.

It's equipped with a powerful rifle made specifically for ACLOs, also made by ATLAS. A bullpup configuration rifle that fires massive bullets designed to pierce through heavy armor plating on other ACLOs, fortresses, and even warships: KERS-Ex4, utilizing a kinetic energy system that propels projectiles with the force of a railgun, without the need of magnetism.

Different ACLOs are also made by other corporations, with the intent of acting as competition to ATLAS. The arms race to produce the most capable weapons continues to grow ever more intense each passing month as engineers continue to try making technology that will keep up with new threats.
