That arm isn't coming back. Ever.

Originally a silly inked sketch by Rawr/Arin/ActionMartini (Twitter link for more of his fun doodles ), that I couldn't resist fixing up and coloring and shading. I must admit, it turned out better than I thought it would, especially that fur texture, my goodness that cheap trick I used (just cropping a section of a photo of a fur sample and then pasting it all over the place) was surprisingly effective! Just lookit that floof! Doncha just wanna shove your face in it and vibrate?

So, true story: Deciding how many arms my sona should have took far longer than one might think... Because I knew from the start that two felt like too few (especially for a plushy that's literally powered by hugs), but four arms felt cliché and more than that would just be messy! So I was stuck on that for way too long, until, inspired partially by the example of one friend, I eventually realized that three was an option... And it just clicked, you know? It fit.

(And it makes a pretty great metaphor for a couple of RL things that happened when I was very young that damaged my ability to love others by about 25 percent. But the less said about that, the better...)

The ability to add protruding wires to the design, as a result of the arm thing, was a delicious bonus. I'll admit, FNAF (despite the fact that I've never played any of it and aside from its character designs I don't really see the appeal) might have influenced that aspect just a liiiiittle bit. (And, of course, that has a mysterious meaning or two as well...)
