Description
This is one of the many Martello Towers built in the eighteenth century as strongholds to repel French troops during the Napoleonic Wars. Out in the open, the tower sits in concrete/tarmac so I thought a view from the beach would be more appropriate, as if approaching it from the seaCanon EOS 100 (28-80mm lens). Toned, border and text added in Photoshop.

Not too sure about the focus in this. Having the foreground out of focus and the background in focus doesn't work too well for me on this, as I personaly really love those shots with those grasses in them. I do understand though why the focus is as it is, and it still is a pretty nice shot - especialy with that colour tone applied and the bright sky in the background - but somehow I think the focus should've been the other way round. The composition, colours and textures in this are very beautiful though

the sharp detail on the concrete (?) structure is excellent...lovely focus and composition.
(and yes, i've recovered from the massive boozup, so i can finally make the semblance of a coherent comment )

It's so beautiful, I love the different shades of brownish-gray in the picture, and I love the look of the grass!
