Target: BRVR

Well, look what the cat dragged in.

Or the mouse… thing.

Anyway, welcome back to our "not a bleeding hedgehog" branch. This time, we have a different bleeding rodent. Isn't that fun?

I believe that BRVR's story was first revealed by a user named star-byte, and the cartridge that he resides in is currently owned by another user by the name of sparklingdemon.

According to star-byte's blog, BRVR belongs to a copy of Pokémon Channel whose original owner is unknown.

The original owner got her copy for the Christmas of 2003, and instantly grew to love the Pikachu companion inside. She treated the electric mouse like a brother and gave it a name, and through her love, the Pikachu gained the ability to love her the same.

And then she left. She grew out of the game.

For a creature bound to the game, for someone integral to the game's functions who cannot leave, someone who was given the gift of life by someone's love, this was a fate worse than death to him.

For years, the rodent would lay in wait, wishing to die. However, due to how the game works, with him being the main NPC, his efforts would be for naught.

But years of repetition within the game's code led him to discover that he was truly alone, no other mind was in the game.

So he took his anger out on the game's puppets. Slaughtering, mutilating them all one by one, the lines of codes who gave the same lines over and over would speak no more.

...Years later, it seems like a turn of events led to someone booting the game back up.

BRVR is a Pikachu, small yellow rodent-like Pokémon from the series of the same name, owned by Nintendo, Game Freak, and Creatures Inc. Most Pikachus have two rosy cheeks, two brown horizontal stripes on their back, two pointed ears with black tips, and a tail that invokes a lightning design.

BRVR, when compared to other Pikachus, has a much darker appearance while not deviating from the original design too much. His eyes glow red, the tips of his ears seem to secrete a black substance, and his cheeks and tip of his tail are covered in said substance as well. Notably, he is scarred and bruised, and hints of blood are marked on his claws, very out of place for a light-hearted and simple game such as Pokémon Channel.

Also, his chest has an eye in the center, one that represents his heart. Due to how much he closes himself off from others, as well as being generally dishonest about his feelings, it almost never opens.

Most of the time, BRVR seems spiteful and bitter, understandable after being left to rot for years. In turn, he took it out on the world he was stuck in. As his spite grew, the world around him morphed and shifted into the hellscape you can see today.

BRVR is also quite suicidal. His entire plan was to scare his former friend into destroying his game so he can finally end it all. It didn't work.

However, deep down, I think he just needs someone who won't abandon him. I think that if we help his lonliness, then I think he would be better.

I dunno, it's just me, though.

Inside his world, BRVR is essentially godlike. As he is integral to the game, he is essentially in control over it. However, because of this, he cannot leave the game, nor can he truly die unless it was reset. While this would be a plus most of the time, when left alone in a world where you're the only one truly inside, it becomes a nightmare to go through.

Outside of his game, however, BRVR is almost powerless. He was reportedly able to summon a Pikachu Doll Z into the real world, but due to how benign it is, it's almost worthless for anything other than a quick scare.

Also, he has the moves Thundershock, Thunderbolt, and Thunder.

If you're having trouble with pronunciation, it's pronounced "bruh-vurr".

He hates Christmas, his game was first played on the Christmas of 2003.

Technically, BRVR has no gender, due to the Pikachu in Pokemon Channel coming from an era before gender differences were introduced. However, he is perfectly fine with using he/him.

He can't fall ill. He cannot be caught.

Apparently, he knows about a Pikachu from Hey You! named Baxter. Apparently, it looks like someone had a crush.

Allegedly, he didn't kill the TV crew due to liking the TV. Also, he likes Pichu Bros. Episode 5 the best. It's always changing.

He... knows about tumblr? Okay, where are you guys getting these facts from?
