so i'm sitting here in the dark of my dorm room, and i can genuinely say this piece gave me that edgy feeling i can equate only to the threshold of consciousness immediately following a nightmare.
the empty rounded eyes....eek

jesus, that creeped the hell out of me JUST FROM THE THUMBNAIL. I think it's the simplicity and use of contrast: eyes. mouth. teeth.
very well done.

Just a question, do you find it easy to reach that pane or is it a (consious) departure? One more thing, can you actually get disturbed while in this state?
As for the picture it is very dream like.

I'm sure you know this by now, but my methods of commenting on deviant art have decreased drastically since going to college. It consumes almost all my time, and yet, I still watch the same number of people I did back during high school. What this means though, is that everyone (well, those important to me) gets filtered comments, or rather, I'll comment when a piece of theirs REALLY jumps out at me, so hopefully not only will it mean a bit more, but they'll really know how much their work meant to me personally.
That said, I think this has to be not only one of the scariest, but one of the best things I've ever seen you make. This literally just jumped at me from my watch, and I couldn't refresh it without commenting. The extremely limited palette works really well with the concept, and the face itself it just eye catching. From it resembling a figure so much, that there's no way we could rationalize otherwise, to the blackout lack of eyes and unnatural scream (but how could something like that, that inhuman be in so much pain, and express it so similarly to us?) this piece just shines. Your manipulation work is becoming so good it's almost... too good hahaha I've begun having trouble sometimes determining what's real and what's not in your pieces. And I LOVE that I can never tell what you've used to make a piece anymore. It's not only admirable, but extremely impressive. You keep up the amazing work sir, and I'll apologize now for this novella of a comment hahaha

Wowsers... that gave me the chills! And I mean, the CHILLS. The expression is so inhuman, yet so human at the same time... It definitly reminds you of the kind of thing you'd see in a nightmare.. Imagine if you'd look at yourself in the miror and would start screaming, seeing this... uuuugh....

thanks for tonight's nightmare, mr stitch! superbly melting face! and that sound... i heard it long ago as a child... it was just outside of my conciousness, in the place where dreams dwell, but it managed to escape... #6 on Things That Haunt.
