You're right : there's no forgiveness with a ballpoint pen... but it's easier to controle it than watercolor

Oh, no doubt!!    I think I'll stay with my colored pencils for a while longer though, I must be able to erase!!

For a long, long time I only draw with graphite pencil... then I try watercolor's pencils, and sometime ballpoint pen and colored pencils when I have nothing else, and then I try digital as well( not so easy that I imagine), and last year I test acrylic's painting and this year watercolor...

So just do want you want to do when you want, because have pleasure it's the most important thing when you draw

How wonderful!!    It's been many years since I've drawn, I picked up colored pencils when I started again because it's all I'm familiar with.      

Thank you so much for telling me about your progression!     That was very courageous of you, branching out from your comfortable territory to try new formats!  (I've heard that digital is surprisingly difficult, as well.)  When I become more comfortable with my current skill-set (which is rusty, to say the least ) I hope that I do what you did: Try out new forms and finding so many more possibilities!!  

And I'm so glad to hear that, Hon!  You and your art (along with *DameOdessa 's) are lovely!!

You're right to re-start with the pencils you're familiar with. It's always better to create with somthing you already know

The point is to do at your rythm and to listen to your

It's always difficult when you try a new thing (medium or format) but it's also very exciting. So if you realy want to try something you never do before, don't hesitate : do it

Wow, did you open a little window into my soul??    When I started again, it had its ups and downs...but the more I 'tuned-in' to myself, the more natural and comfortable I began to feel!    You are so right Stol, I'm starting to 'listen' and am hearing some wonderful things!    When the time is right, I think my instincts will let me know which way to turn!  

I'll never give up Dear, I know you won't either!

Chuis trop heureuse que t'aime son mouvement  J'avais passé un temps fou sur le croquis de base à trouver la position des antérieurs (surtout le droit). C'était tellement cracra, qu'il a fallut que je reprenne tout le croquis sur une nouvelle feuille. Et désespérée d'avoir cassé la mine de mon critérium, j'ai pris le bic... et fini tout le dessin avec 

Comme quoi, les croquis cracra et les mines cassés on parfois du bon

oui je suis trs tres tres sensible aux mouvements dans un dessins, j'aime qu'il y ait d el'harmonie et que ça rend beau :3 la c'ets tres reussi!

Après les tickets de caisse...  le bic... tu me surprendras toujours ! Du coup belle mention pour le jeu de reflets et d'ombres parce que là, t'avais pas le droit à l'erreur !

Et encore plus fort : le ticket de caisse au bic (nan, parce que le bic était aussi bien souvent le seul 'crayon' que j'avais sous la main) : stolvezen.deviantart.com/art/F…

Pi le croquis du Seyth en armure était au bic (d'où son côté tout cracra ).

Voui, j'ai eu parfois du mal à ne pas trop appuyer sur le bic... mais malgré tout la licorne s'est peu à peu assombri

At the begening I just want to do a simple sketch with a pencil but I broke the lead and then take a ballpoint pen... and done all with it
