Vray is an additional renderer you can add onto Max to create super realistic renders. I think it came out about 3-4years ago if i'm not mistaking. With it comes new texturing and lighting capabilities.

Yup, damn addicted now. Funny thing is that you have to make your own goal in this, making it litterally impossible to ever finish the game.
