I don't know what world this baby came from, but the rule for lostech has always been finders-keepers, so this shield is Rambler's now. None of the worlds we know of had this type of energy shielding. Apparently it catches projectiles, rather than deflects them. Most of the people shooting at you have no idea what the hell they're looking at as all of the munitions they just fired kind of swirl there harmlessly. Well, harmless until you disengage the shield and return-to-sender. It takes a bit of practice to master, and it has a cooldown period after use. I'd also be careful about using it against energy weapons. It'll block them, but it drains the charge a bit faster and it's not like you can fire that energy back.
