Emily was born in Arcadia and comes from a middle class family. She has struggled
with Pseudobulbar affect (PBA) which causes uncontrollable episodes of crying and
laughing.

The exact cause of her condition is unknown but her parents believe it may be
attributed to her interest in martial arts which has caused her to suffer minor head
injuries.
