Yes in G1 there was whole line for ponies that had rainbow manes. And I notice that there were a some of Ponies that happen to have a lot colors in their manes. As you can see Daring Do is there alive & well she's got a black&white type of rainbows. Summer Nights was glad to be part of the ponydex previously she had one stripe of her hair cut but now that she grew it out in time for her entry she only wished I had showed up later when she could get a proper hair style to show it all. We compensated for her so hopefully next we see her she'll be looking stylish.
