it looks really nice
there's just a little imbalance between the strong black color on
the left side (photo) and the right side with his light grey and blue.

Yep. Pretty darn "sniffy" as you call it. I'd call it "spiffy" though. I like what you did with the photograph. Quite nice. And the stuff to the right is definitely some of my favorite type of art. Well done.
