I think I prefer the one on the right. The darker background makes the craft show up better. Also, I think the ine of acceleration of the crafts is too parallel to the line in the background on the left.

Both look good but I think a mixture of the two.

The contrast on the right is great because it makes the foreground elements pop but the background is less interesting (though the position of the trails in the bottom right work better than on the left). The left has great symmetry between the fore and background components but because the values are all so high, your key elements get lost in the image.

But from what you've got here, I definitely like the right better; more contrast better compositional balance and the intersecting lines of the flight paths and the background highlights works.
