Description
-DH: HAYATO! What are you doing here !?-HK: Back off DH, I'm just wrapping up. She gave me a good chase.
-DH: I've been tracking that target all over the quadrant.
-HK: So was I. You know it's just how our business is. So don't be sore because I got to her before you.
-DH: This is the 1st, and last time you beat me to a bounty, yes?
-HK: We'll see about that. Now beat it!
(Anybody who knows Death'sHead, knows how he'd REALLY handle this sitch......but)
ANYWAY....
With the upcoming release of "MARVEL Vs. CAPCOM Infinite" later this year,
I decided to doodle up some wishlist fighters that have had limited appearances and/or
have just never been in any of the games in this series.
Hayato Kanzaki being only in MVC2, and Death'sHead never being in a game accordingly.
(well not entirely....DH was actually seen in Strider's ending of UMVC3)
Marino is in here just for the incidental purposes of the pic itself.
I was a little miffed that nobody from Star Gladiator made it into MVC3/UMVC3,
and would really have liked to have seen sombody in there.
Not necessarily Hayato, but just some sort of SG representation therein would've been great.
All hope is not lost though.
Since MVCI seems to have a cosmic SciFi setting/theme...
the return of the SG cast doesn't seem too far out of the realm of possibility now.
For the love of Bilstein's beer steiner...somebody make this happen.
I feel that the chances of seeing Death'sHead being in MVCI are totally nil.
Unless maybe he cameos in GuardiansOfTheGalaxy2 later this year or something.
And even then, who knows?
Death'sHead has always had this kind of goofy design,
but was usually involved in all kinds of JohnWoo/PaulVeerhoven ultra-violence
that belied the "even-for-a-comicbook-cartoony" look of his quirky face.
Then in the 90's he was given a gritty redesign (y'know....the 90's) to match his actual gritty antics.
I personally liked the new look, but at the same time,
the character just seemed to lose that "umf"
(dunno how else to put it).
For this Death'sHead pic, I decided to try to kinda split the difference.
but to no avail....those designs just didn't look quite right.
So I kept with his old body design (not actually his original, but still old),
and just tweeked his face a little by throwing out that Gengar mouth,
and putting in a DarthVader-esque grill instead.
I also added some details to his pretty plain looking literal chrome-dome.
And Walla! Here we are.
Although I kept his more or less original size here....
I think I'll do another MVCI pic of him in his shrunken/more human sized form.
Markers on marker paper with a little Photoshopping here & there.

This is great! Really nice work... I would be happy to see DH look like this in the comics!
