(okay so the first time I submitted this the preview didn’t work at all so...had to make it a different format so here we go trail 2)Got this done a while ago but didn’t get to uploading it till today.
This is my attempt at drawing fanart of Fruits Basket/ Furuba by Natsuki Takaya. I think I did a pretty alright job at this seeing as how I really tried to go out of my way to focus on each person separately before moving on to another person. I was trying to hard to have each person have their own unique detail of their own from each other. (Trying to pick colors for Momiji’s clothes took so long) Although doing so made the completion of this take a very VERY long time. @_@ I got frustrated a lot and blanked out several times but I finished it!
Starting from Top left going right to left: Uotani Arisa, Hanajima Saki, Souma Akito, Souma Kureno, Souma Kagura, Souma Ritsu, Souma Momiji, Souma Hatori, Souma Shigure, Souma Yuki, Souma Hatsuharu, Souma Ayame, Souma Isuzu (Rin), Souma Hiro, Souma Kyou , Souma Kisa and featured in full body Honda Tohru.
I think the backlash of this piece is that I’m still trying to get the hang of doing backgrounds and I think I did alright but I need to work on that still. The odd side effect of doing this is it seems to have drained me of drawing anything else since the day I completed it. I feel worn out or something. @_@ I’ll get back in the groove later though. =3

It was by accident. I was trying out the different brushes and when I got to the flower brush it ended up working out pretty well.

WOW that's amazing, i especially like how Ayame's hair is braides. I also really like Akito's outfit... but then again I am a sucker for violet! All in all you did a wonderful job

Err hrm. I have to figure that out but I want to say a little over 2 months. Only reason is that I mostly found time to work on it only 1 hour a day and I did so many revisions because i didn't like the colors of the clothes the first time. Momiji alone I went through 10 different colors and I'm still not all that happy with it and I had to go back and add Uo and Saki into the picture. They originally weren't there.

I've been trying to spend as much time as I have in things I've done after this one. So far this one still has been the longest one I've worked on. So far the current thing I posted last and the one before this in June come in close but yep...long time. @_@

For someone who is only learning how to draw backgrounds, this is exceptional. I love your use of colour .
The drawings of akito, shigure , Arisa and the background. I have so much praise for this image it is hard to list it all.
It makes me very happy to see such well drawn fanart of a comic/animated series I like quite strongly.

I appreciate the gratitude and about the background attempt I was trying out. I tend to agree with you I like how I did them 3 more so then the rest. Especially Arisa's hair~ Thank you so much for the praise and that you see it as being one of the "well drawn" fanarts out there. I mean I don't think I'm the best or anything but I mean knowing that it comes off as one of the ones you have to see makes me happy. 
It's been a surprise to see how many have favorored it as well. I was at least thinking maybe 20 tops but oi
