Mantis is a sweetheart as much as he is a softie, but to some ponies, he's pretty scary which makes him confused on what is scary about him. Is it because his height? His love for creepy crawlies? Who knows!? But he's just trying to be like them and make new friends, but it's hard for a changeling hybrid to blend in the society of ponies

He has the strongest connection towards his father, who taught a few life skills for him and help him feel great about being a hybrid. As for his mama, he adores watching her magic shows but sometimes, Trixie doesn't like it when some of his pet bugs invade the living room. Heh
