#Sometimes simpler is indeed better, but I ought to admit that the top first one is my fav.
Personally I like details when I see a skull, so, that's why.
The other two variations aren't bad of course, but I believe that simplicity has certain places and times to exist and isn't always necessary.
I love the fact that you used ink though, that must have been a bit messy... At least I know it would be if it was me using it.
