This is my first Deviant art submission!

This is a piece I have been working on for the past fortnight and it was for a competition held by a games studio based in London that promoted the competition via my University.

The challenge was to create a concept art piece for a Protagonist, creature or environment for a new Fantasy game that they had conceptualised and sent the brief to us.
The Key phrase how to think how a creature adapted to the main player once the creature had been tamed. I played around with a few themes i.e. strength, smartness and Agility but the word "Speed" inspired me most on this sculpt. Centaurs usually consist of half human/ half horse, but I played around with having a bull instead of a horse and I was really pleased with the outcome!

This was sculpted on top of a base mesh I produced in 3ds max and everything else was produced via Zbrush and Photoshop.
