Creative journal:
I was going to put this into my point circles theme, but I think it looks fine on it's own as a square. I liked the impromptu patterns in the piece 'space in the point', so I thought I'd explore them further here. There is no set structure to it, you just make it up as you go, going by what feels and looks right. Hopefully the rest of the piece sort of creates it's self, a bit like jazz..

This theme also follows the idea of the space itself as the material for the matter, the math grid (space) directs what form the matter takes. Nothing else is used.

I thought I could rub the textured squares out so they could appear from underneath but this proved to lengthy a process to undertake, time consuming and messy. It turned out simply erasing squares was the way to go.
