Did you colour the lineart a darker version of the fill next to it, like dark orange for the orange filled bits etc? By locking the transparent pixels of the lineart layer and just painting the darker colours on the lineart layer?

Sorry for the late reply. To answer your question: No I didn't; I may do that in some areas, but usually I'll just do whatever looks best. There is no set rule to it.

That's alright I mean method-wise will you lock the transparent pixels, and colour on the lineart?
