This painting was a very special one to work on. MMCommissions56 reached out to me and asked if I would paint a portrait of him and his dog Breezy who passed away last year. They spent every day for the past 10 years together and wanted something to help represent the incredible bond they had. Breezy made them feel safe, loved, protected and happy. One fun fact about Breezy was the he loved dressing up. I was given photos of him in a few different costumes including a ghost-busters one! The image that sparked this idea was of him in his little Superman suit. They said that Breezy took his role as Superman very seriously and every time they put on their batman shirt Breezy got serious quick! I loved that little insight and used that as the inspiration for this piece. What an incredible honor to be able to work on something so special. Breezy sounded like the best of friends and the truest definition of a good boy. Breezy you made a powerful impact! May you rest in peace little guy. ⁠
