After spending so many hours on my last drawing, I felt like doing something a little less time-consuming - so I set myself a challenge this morning: I would try to finish a new drawing in one day. The perfectionist in me couldn't handle doing a quick-and-dirty portrait (I officially suck at quick-and-dirty drawings - I'm way too obsessed with details to pull them off), so I figured I'd do another eye drawing. I had to rush a few things (to the great dismay of my perfectionist alter ego) because I really wanted to finish it, so it's definitely not perfect. However, I'm quite happy with the way it turned out.

Pencil on paper
Size: 12 x 9 cm
Materials: HB and 2B mechanical pencils, kneadable eraser, regular eraser, blending stump, cotton buds, tissues
Paper: A5 Canson paper, 120g, fine grain
Time: 6 hours

Oh and one more thing. More of a tip really.
I think you could try to adjust the contrast so that the darkest blacks of the drawing really come on screen as black. It would really make it look even better!

I SO know what you mean! I've got the same thing in my head and since it's part of my personality I kinda have to like it and I do, but sometimes being too much of a perfectionist really takes up a lot of time when drawing, and the longer I'm drawing in one sitting the more details I start to see and HAVE to put into it.
But I honestly don't miss any detail here, it's beautiful. Good job!
