It looks like it's snowing outside... but this is South Africa, so it isn't
But Kitty is Snow White - this is why I'm calling this "snowflake". I don't know kitty's real name; this was taken at the rescue shelter.

You know, it was sitting against a dirty window with quite bright sun falling across it from outside, and I do believe that's literally just dust on the window. Not so sure myself; I only saw this once I looked back at the photos and didn't notice it at the time.
And no, it wouldn't be pollen.
The turquoize colour would be from plastic shadecloth they use to cover the outside adult runs on the opposite side from where I was indoors with the kittens.

Well... you couple THAT with the fact that I am allergic to cats (yes I am... little known fact!) then you will begin to understand how I feel that night after a visit to the cat shelter! Nasal spray is never more than an arm's length away

I've learned to just live with it. I grew up in a house without pets due to my severe allergies, but I suppose now I'm just making up for lost time.
