The Zanpaktou that cut him absorbed his blood... the wound on his hand healed as he gripped the sword, which was now a wide bladed Katana with a single thorn crafted into the edge near the hilt... the grip was black, with two white triangles pointing at each other, and red and white flames errupting from them, reaching out towards another... in his other hand, he felt cold and wet, yet something strong and firm was in his palm... he looked at it, seeing the sleath of the sword, but it was drentched in blood...
"This is the blood of your enemies, Ichigo.. the blood comeing from the wounds you inflict. It becomes one with your sword... and it will make it grow stronger."
The voice disappeared... as he sleathed his sword, affixing it to his belt, the Avatar clapped his hands.
"Very well done, Ichigo Kurasaki... You have obtained your power, just like you wanted it.""

Ichigo Kurasaki`s new soul cutter from my upcomeing Bleach fanfic... i might release it here as well, but i don`t know if i will, yet.
Basically, i wanted a broad bladed, brutal sword, that yet was elegant and streamlined as a Katana, not as heavy and barbaric as Ichigo´s previous, Bankai-less Soul cutter.
The grip was inspired by a fictional Katana i´ve seen in a shop somewhere... the scabbard is drawn rather sloppyly and the idea of the blood drentched Saya wasn´t all that thought through... seemed to work, nonetheless.
Its special ability is to instantly land a critical hit after eight continueous strikes, the nineth will mortally wound the enemy.. makeing this a very dangerous weapon that should be wielded by the right user.... Ichigo, who lost a large part of his memories concerning Soul Society from looseing his powers after the fight against Aizen, needs instructions how to wield it... even if he only wants to go back to Soul Society and see his friends on the other side again.
