History
A necessity of the Great War, 3066 scuttled around yards and ports all over the UK, quickly moving utilities, munitions, troops and everything in between to their destinations. She'd serve the Inland Waterways & Docks department for that first hectic year, ending up all over what would become the Southern Railway.
Following the resolution of that tiff, she'd pass into departmental use, until 2 decades later, when another conflict drew her into the Railway Operating Division. Hilda, as the local crews called her, continued to serve quickly and quietly, seen and not heard.
She'd be relocated to a nowhere colliery, until 1969 came, and at 52 years, it was assumed the engine had given all it could. Put aside for a scrapper to deal with, Hilda saw it as just a continuation of duty. When a man in a top hat came knocking however, she'd've been insane to reject the ability to keep steam up. Now she works at Great Waterton, handling a multitude of tasks, keeping busy as usual.
Personality
In service of the IW&D and ROD, she'd never had much to say, but the new lease on Sodor has brought a joyous and inquisitive side out. Unfamiliar with civvie life, Hilda is still learning something new almost 60 years later.
