I chuckled at that too, if those are highly trained vehicon and Eradicon troopers then I would love to see what a poorly trained trooper looks like.

If SOMEONE did sound the alarm like Knock Out suggested the first time, Megatron wrath be dammed.
The funny fact is that the Vehicon showed more competence under Soundwave command that under Starscream's, makes you wonder what would happen if someday Soundwave grows ambitious.

Sound wave would never betray Megatron cause he has no real reason to. He does his job efficiently and is well respected amongst his ranks. HOWEVER, if he were to become leader.... There would be no human or autobot to oppose him O_O"

Which in turn makes you wonder why Soundwave is so devoted to serving Megatron to begin with. We may never know. He keeps it all inside.

Soundwave and Megatron were both Gladiators that fought in the pits of Kaon, in one arena battle the two faced each other and soundwave nearly bested Megatron, which created an act on respect and comradery between the two, when it came to Megatrons revolutionary front, Soundwave moved to follow him and help him gather more followers, and even when the war broke out on cybetron, there was an incident where Megatron actually risked his life to rescue Soundwave and 3 other injured decepticon troopers in battle.
Basically megatron and soundwave are the oldest of friends and comrades and since they are possibly the only 2 remaining gladiators from kaon still among the decepticon ranks, there is obviously a sense of kinship between the two, though its never really shown in the series.
